Eliminating Upper Back Muscle Pain

The lower back is almost always associated with back pain. And in fact is one of the side effects a nerve condition called sciatica. However, upper back muscle pain can be just as chronic as the lower back, however, it is not as common. Of course one of the culprits for left upper back muscle pain and right upper back muscle pain is arthritis. Poor posture is one of the causes associated more with upper back pain, as is a stationary job where you sit in one position all day without taking a break and moving around. Upper back muscle pain is usually associated with the area between the shoulder blades and the general neck area. There are many ways that you can reduce or eliminate upper back pain.
Studies have concluded that ten percent of all American have back pain at one time or another. That figures out to millions of people suffering from back pain every year. And doesn't take into account the other countless number that have to undergo painful surgery to get rid of acute upper back muscle pain.
